Our Radical Approach

Our unique way of offering fun, safe, mega-progression-sessions.

Because progression doesn’t have to be painful (or boring). We got you.

Fun

Mountain biking is fun so this part is (almost) easy. We also know that “fun” is different for everyone. We do our best to tailor your experience to what you find fun while hopefully introducing you to things you didn’t even know could be fun. Plus, fun is a vibe and our coaches bring the right amount of enthusiasm, patience, and expertise so you absolutely enjoy your time together.

Safe

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport so getting proper skills training can save you a lot of pain and frustration. Our coaches’ progressive approach to teaching starts students in a low-consequence setting (like the grass-room or something similar), using our “progression props”, giving you time to focus on proper body position, timing, and execution of fundamental and complex skills.

Progression

Our coaching processes methodically adds levels of complexity for each skill so that our students are powered by the confidence of these successful successions. Practice makes progress and one thing you are sure to leave with is plenty of (the right) things to practice. We call this “fun homework” and if you do your homework, you are guaranteed to see progression in your riding.

Radical Approach

Our progressive approach starts students in a low-consequence setting giving them time to focus on proper body position, timing, and execution of fundamental and dynamic skills. Then we methodically add the next level of complexity for each skill so that our students are powered by the confidence of these successful successions. It's this approach that gives our students a foundation of Radical Roots to cultivate and grow their riding to great heights.
