Partnering with Angi Weston

PROFESSIONAL MTB SKILLS COACH // SMALL BUSINESS OWNER // MENTOR // PURVEYOR OF STOKE

Meet Angi

Hi, I’m Angi Weston, owner and head coach of Radical Roots MTB Instruction in Bellingham, WA. I have been coaching technical mountain bike skills since 2002 and am Level 3 certified through the Bicycle Instructor Certification Program (BICP), making me one of the most qualified, experienced, and highly sought-after mountain bike coaches in North America. My mission is to get more people, especially those who identify as female, femme, or non-binary, and those from historically marginalized communities, riding and loving bikes. As a coach and mentor, I am deeply involved in the cycling community and value connection, collaboration, compassion, and gut-splitting good times.

My reach is broad, my advice is trusted, and my stoke runs high.

I am a brand ambassador for many notable companies including Transition Bicycle Company, SRAM/RockShox, Industry Nine Wheels, Rapha, and Maxxis.

The work I do

Face-to-smiling-face, I have real-life influence on 1000+ cyclists each year through:

  • Owner and Founder of Radical Roots MTB (roster of 20 coaches & 30 assistant coaches) which provides private and small group coaching: 500+ riders/year plus much of the programming listed below.

  • Founder and Lead Coach for the Radical Ripper Junior Development Program which provides mtb focused after-school programs, summer camps, race training, and other fun offers (for riders ages 6-18 all skills, abilities, and genders): 100+ riders/year

  • Owner of Radical Racing Gravity Elite Team and Club Team: 6 racers in 2024 and growing

  • Weekend-long group training events, like the legendary Transition Women’s Weekends (WA & NC): 100+ riders/year and growing

  • Mentor to other mtb coaches and small business owners in the industry

  • Host workshops and coach at large industry events such as Whistler Crankworx, Roam Festival, Tune-Up Festival, and Sedona MTB Fest

  • Emceeing and presenting at large mtb events including: HangTime, Sturdy Dirty, Evergreen MTB Festival, and WMBC Shoot The Trails

  • Donate money, time, and services to community outreach efforts: Vamos Outdoors, Shifting Gears, AIROW Project, Skookum Kids, MTB, Barrier Braking Rides at The Outpost, Bellingham Food Bank, and Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition

  • Host FREE Ladies Nights at The Bike Ranch every other week November through March (12 events) to keep our community connected and progressing through the wet, dark, PNW winter months.

“My mission is to get more people, especially those who identify as WTFN (women, trans, femme, non-binary) and those from historically marginalized communities, riding and loving bikes. Teaching and building community are great passions of mine and it shows in my enthusiastic, patient, and professional approach.”
