MTB 304: On-Trail application: Jumps & Drops
This is the final class in the 300-level series and is designed to maximize students’ on-trail practice of all the skills covered in MTB 203, 204, 301, 302, and 303. We know that lots of learning happens in our “grassroom” sessions at a local park and in your neighborhood pumptrack but we also want our students to practice these skills in real-life trail scenarios. By piecing together all the skills you worked on in the 300-level series you will start to feel the thrill of flowing black trails with confidence and ease. Plus, riding these local trails with our encouraging coaches is super fun, and will provide you with helpful support like spotting (where possible) and a “tow-in” (or wheel to follow) through sections of trail.
Prerequisites for this class:
A desire to grow and refine your skills for riding mountain bikes at higher speeds and to get your wheels off the ground
MTB 303 or equivalent and the ability to perform the skills listed in our 200 level series classes
You can ride most or all of the black-rated trails you encounter
