Foundations of Mountain Biking

Learn how to safely control, mount, dismount, balance, shift (change gears) properly, and loads of other tips to help you get comfortable navigating a mountain bike, especially if you are new to the sport.

  • New to mountain biking? Looking to build a solid foundation for fun, safe, progression?

  • This introductory class is great for riders of all interests and skill levels to work with our professional coaches and meet other riders.

  • In this class students will learn the foundations of riding a bicycle off-road with lessons in proper bike set-up, body position, braking, shifting gears, pedaling, and other skills to help you hit the trails this spring.

  • Students will leave this class feeling more prepared to tackle trails on their mountain bike and with “fun homework” to keep practicing and progressing well beyond our time together in class
